I’m a correspondent for Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes and E! Entertainment. I also host a podcast called I Don’t Get It, and a show for JCPenney. I’m a Salvadorian-American television and film critic, podcast producer, and host based in New York City, working professionally as a critic for 7 years. I’ve loved all forms of entertainment since I was a kid and grew up acting, singing, and going to the movies nearly every weekend. With a degree in Theater Arts and a background in acting, interviewing actors and filmmakers is my favorite part of the job because I love talking shop with other artists and getting more into the weeds about an actor’s process, character development, career challenges, and filmmaking overall.

I’ve always loved cinema and started writing about it right before my 19th birthday. I turned a pro film critic, or whatever that means, February 2010, self publishing ever since. “As a host, critic, and producer, I have been with the nationally syndicated television show Hollywood First Look for most of my career. It is one of the few television programs that specifically brings A-list celebrity interviews and Hollywood content to the Asian American community. I’m very proud of how this program has and continues to support AANHPI directors, actors, and creatives in Hollywood.”

“It took more than a minute, but The Idaho Press finally invested in an entertainment reporter. I was fortunate to be here in Boise at the right time and place and with the right stories that resonated with the community, locally and worldwide online.”

“Watching movies has always been one of my favorite past times growing up. My parents didn’t always have the money to purchase movie tickets for our family of five, but they could afford to rent a few movies from Blockbuster and other video rental stores. Each movie was an escape to another world, and experiences I felt were exciting. Which is the reason I became a movie critic.”
