About me, my market, and what I love most about my work:
I post an “Entertainment Report” on my YouTube Channel (5 movie reviews per week.) A few years ago I went viral and ended up with over 150,000 subscribers. I love discovering the unexpectedly enjoyable movies that may not have a major distributor.
This is my passion project, or passion in general:
My life has been so amazing as a film and book critic. I have had 7 memoirs published and my eighth was published by Mercer University Press on September 5, 2023. It is titled The Wisdom of Winter.
What it means to me to be part of the CCA:
I met Joey Berlin years ago on a press junket for “Pearl Harbor.” He told me about the Broadcast Film Critics Association and I have been a member ever since.
My favorite film/TV series that I am currently watching and why:
Last year I was sent a screener of a movie titled Mending the Line. It made my top ten list but very few had seen it. I publicized it like mad and was a told a few weeks ago that the film has a distributor and was released in theaters on June 9, 2023. That makes me happy.
