Trey Mangum is a New York City-based and North Carolina-born and bred entertainment writer, critic, and journalist. He is the Managing Editor of Blavity Inc.’s Blavity.com and AfroTech.com, as well as the Founder and Editor of BLKCinema.com. His work has also appeared in The Hollywood Reporter, MTV News, and Polygon. He is also a member of the Television Critics Association, has served on the SXSW Film Festival jury, and has moderated panels at the Sundance Film Festival, the SCAD Savannah Film Festival, and SCAD TVfest. He also appears annually in the Los Angeles Times Envelope as a contributor for Emmy predictions.
