Robert Denerstein reviews movies for an independent website that has built a loyal and expanding following since its inception in 2009. Before that, he spent 27 years as the movie critic for the Rocky Mountain News, a widely read Denver daily that suspended publication in 2008. A veteran in our industry, he has also written for Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Robert is dedicated to keeping Denerstein Unleashed as wide-ranging as possible, emphasizing reviews of small and independent releases that often appear in the Denver area without the benefit of promotion. At the same time, his well-established site has broadened beyond a local niche, expanding its reach to include national and international readers. Robert has also worked on several short films and has participated in educational activities regarding film, including teaching at the University of Colorado and offering classes at the Denver Film Center. Robert has been a CCA member since its inception in 1995.
