Preston Barta has been working as a film journalist since 2010. In the first four years, he divided his time between radio broadcasting and entertainment writing in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. In 2014, he joined Fresh Fiction as the Features Editor. The following year, he became the Film Critic at the Denton Record-Chronicle, a daily North Texas print publication. Preston’s passion lies in writing theatrical film reviews and at-home entertainment columns while conducting interviews with on-screen talent and filmmakers. In addition, he co-hosts three podcasts (The Fresh Fiction Podcast, My Bloody Podcast, and Fear & Loathing in Cinema). Preston has been a CCA member since 2020. Preston’s family is his top priority. He is happily married. His son shares his love for movies, and he loves that.
