Kathleen Newman-Bremang is a Toronto-based editor, critic, writer, producer, and the co-recipient of the inaugural Changemaker Canadian Screen Award. As the Senior Content Director of Entertainment at Refinery29, Kathleen oversees the brand’s entertainment coverage, exploring pop culture, race, and feminism, and champions other women creators to do the same. Her award-winning column, What’s Good, spotlights Black film and TV. Along with covering renowned industry events like the Golden Globes, the NAACP Image Awards, and the Oscars, Kathleen has produced high-profile productions, including The Social, eTalk: Live at the Oscars, and the Much Music Video Awards.
