Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Matt Neglia earned a degree in Communication Arts from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), where he concentrated in Cinema Studies. In 2016, he founded Next Best Picture as a platform for sharing his passion for film and examining the ever-evolving awards landscape. As the site’s owner and editor-in-chief, Matt oversees its film and television reviews, awards analysis, industry interviews, and podcast coverage, including The Next Best Picture Podcast, available in both video and audio-only.
