MEMBERSHIP BRANCH: FILM & TV
As the founder of Madelyn Hammond & Associates, Madelyn has shaped some of the entertainment industry’s most influential events and brand experiences, creating purpose-driven programs that connect filmmakers, craftspeople, journalists, studios, and audiences. Among her signature achievements is the creation of Deadline’s The Contenders, now a cornerstone of awards season.
A champion of diversity and inclusion, she annually produces the Critics Choice Association’s Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, which expanded to include Celebrations honoring LGBTQ+, Latino, and AAPI Cinema and Television. These events have created meaningful opportunities for recognition and visibility for underrepresented artists and storytellers.
Madelyn is also a key producer of the American Cinematheque’s annual Tribute Gala, honoring luminaries including Michael B. Jordan, Helen Mirren, and Jessica Chastain, and she created the Tribute to the Crafts, celebrating behind-the-scenes artists whose contributions are essential to filmmaking. She also produces Half Hour With, a digital interview series featuring more than 170 conversations with acclaimed filmmakers, showrunners, and craftspeople.
Earlier in her career, Madelyn became Variety’s first Chief Marketing Officer, overseeing global marketing, events, publicity, and strategy. She also held leadership roles at Landmark Theatres, Sony Pictures, MGM/UA, AMC Theatres, and The Coca-Cola Company.
