Jamaal began his entertainment career as a production assistant for legendary director Spike Lee, and has become an influential voice on the urban entertainment landscape, having conducted definitive interviews with A-List celebs such as Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Monique and Will Smith.   As a producer, Jamaal has generated content for organizations such as TV One, Stellar Gospel Music Awards, and Disney, while as a journalist he has covered Hollywood’s top awards shows and red carpets, including the Academy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, Golden Globes, American Music Awards, Grammy Awards, and SAG Awards, as well as pop culture events such as the Super Bowl, NBA All-Star Game, and Fashion Week.
