Jason Bailey is a film critic and historian and the author of five books, including Fun City Cinema: New York City and the Movies That Made It, Richard Pryor: American Id, and Pulp Fiction: The Complete Story of Quentin Tarantino’s Masterpiece. His essays and reviews have appeared in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Bloomberg, Vulture, Rolling Stone, The Playlist, Slate, and more. He is also the editor-in-chief of Crooked Marquee and co-host of the podcasts A Very Good Year and Fun City Cinema.
