Before moving into journalism, Collin Garbarino earned a PhD in history and spent about 15 years in higher education, teaching classes on the ancient world. In 2012, he started writing film reviews to think through the messages embedded in the movies his kids were watching. He was somewhat surprised to discover the reading public cared more about his opinions on movies than his opinions on Greece and Rome. Collin has been a CCA member since 2024.
