Christopher Campbell is the VP of Documentaries for the Critics Choice Association and serves on the CCA Board of Directors. He is the co-creator and Executive Producer of the Critics Choice Documentary Awards. He reviews documentaries for Nonfics, which he founded in 2014, and contributes articles to Rotten Tomatoes.
In the past, he has contributed to IndieWire, MTV News, Movieline, Paste Magazine, Vanity Fair, Thrillist, Movies.com, Fandango, Film School Rejects, RogerEbert.com, Moviefone, Spout, Documentary Magazine, Cinematical, Screen Crush, Screen Rant, Pajiba, First Showing, POV Digital, and The Documentary Channel Blog.
He began writing film criticism and covering film festivals for a zine called Read, back when a zine could get you Sundance press credentials. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema Studies from Brooklyn College and a Master’s degree in Cinema Studies from NYU, where he concentrated on nonfiction film.
Christopher has been a CCA member since 2014.
