On October 2, 2026, the CCA will hold its 6th annual Celebración of Cinema & Television. The event will be co-hosted by members Clayton Davis of Variety and Amanda Salas of LA’s KTTV Fox 11. “To honor this remarkable class of Latino and Hispanic artists is nothing short of a gift, especially during a time that has been difficult for our communities,” said Davis. “Latino and Hispanic storytellers keep creating from a place of joy and defiance, turning our histories and culture into art that moves the culture forward. Their work builds a larger, more inclusive tent for everyone to be invited to join.” 

The Career Achievement Award will be given to Emmy winner and four-time Tony nominee John Leguizamo, who also stars in The Odyssey, one of 2026’s biggest box office hits. 

Judy Reyes will receive the Trailblazer Award. She currently stars in the breakout hit High Potential as well as the much-anticipated new season of the TV classic Scrubs. 

Audiences fell deeply in love with the American version of The Office, often citing Oscar Nuñez from the accounting department as one of their favorites. It came as no surprise that when Office spinoff The Paper was in production, he would reprise his famous role. The Vanguard Award will join Nuñez’s SAG and Emmy trophies.

This fall at The New York Film Festival, Neon’s Paper Tiger is the Opening Night Selection. Rodrigo Teixeira, who also produced the Academy Award nominated Call Me By Your Name and Academy Award winner I’m Still Here, will receive the Producer Award. 

Javier Calvo & Javier Ambrossi, also known as “Los Javis,” will receive the Director Award for Netflix’s La Bola Negra. They are joined by Beth de Araújo, the director of Josephine, who will receive the Breakthrough Director Award.

James Ortiz, the voice and puppeteer of the beloved Rocky in Project Hail Mary, is receiving the Innovator Award. Inde Navarrette will receive the Breakthrough Actress Award – Film for her role as Nikki in Obsession. Both films were gigantic box office and critical successes. 

In the world of television, Aimee Carrero will be recognized with the Supporting Actress Award – Series for Apple TV’s Your Friends & Neighbors, and Laysla De Oliveira will be honored with the Breakthrough Actress Award – Series for Paramount+’s Lioness. And Peter Dager will be honored with the Rising Star Award for his performance in Apple TV’s Stick.
