WHO WE ARE
Founded in 1995, the Critics Choice Association (CCA) is one of the largest critics organizations in the world, representing more than 500 media critics and entertainment journalists.
The CCA’s annual Critics Choice Award have honored the finest in cinematic and television achievement for more than three decades. This glamorous internationally televised event traditionally kicks off Hollywood’s “awards season.”
With a commitment to recognizing industry creatives and professionals across genres, the CCA has expanded its slate of awards presentations over the years to include the Critics Choice Documentary Awards, Critics Choice Real TV Awards, and Critics Choice Super Awards.
The CCA also produces a series of Diversity Celebrations to recognize the finest entertainment produced by historically underrepresented communities, including the Celebration of Black Cinema & Television, the Celebration of Latino Cinema & Television, the Celebration of AAPI Cinema & Television, and the Celebration of LGBTQ+ Cinema & Television.

CCA Member Qualifications
- Applicants must be professional film critics or entertainment journalists whose coverage of new films and television is available on a regular basis to a wide audience.
- Only fully qualified members of the CCA can vote for the Critics Choice Awards.
- The CCA’s Membership Team continuously monitors the outlets and outputs of its members to ensure all CCA voting members are working critics and entertainment journalists.
- The CCA membership list is always available to anyone to view here.
