The Critics’ Choice Movie Awards are bestowed annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association to honor the finest in cinematic achievement.
Nominees for 2011 film releases were selected by written ballots in a week-long voting period in mid-December 2011. Winners were revealed at the 17th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards ceremony broadcast live on VH1 on January 12, 2012.
Each year, special awards are given out at the discretion of the BFCA Board of Directors.
