JD Cargill’s career in broadcast news began at KTLA in 2000, where he advanced from production assistant to senior entertainment producer. In 2002, he began reporting on-air from Hollywood for UK’s Channel 4 in London. In 2004 JD landed at CNN, where, for a decade, he oversaw the network’s film, television and entertainment news beat. In March 2014 JD left CNN to open Mid-Century Media, a full-service Hollywood production company. In partnership with ArcLight Cinemas, where JD serves as entertainment correspondent, MCM produces”ArcLight Stories,” a first-of-its-kind original content series bringing movie theater guests closer to the art and magic of filmmaking.
