Dan Pal



Dan Pal studied film at the University of Chicago. He teaches in the Digital Cinema program at DePaul University in Chicago. Among the courses he has taught are Screenwriting, Foundations of Cinema, The Big Picture: The Entertainment Industry, Film Philosophy, History of Film Editing, Film Festival Workshop, Writing for TV, and special topics courses on the Films of Alfred Hitchcock, Woody Allen, The Coen Brothers, and Paul Thomas Anderson. He is a member of the pre-screening committee for the Chicago International Film Festival. He also teaches film at Moraine Valley Community College and is the Advisor to its Filmmaker’s Club and Coordinator of its Student Film Festival. He has been reviewing films on WDCB radio (90.9 FM/ in suburban Chicago since 2007. He recently completed production on “Scotty Works OUT,” a short he wrote, directed and produced. He is also Executive Producer of the film “Searching for Venice,” currently in post-production. Website & blog:
