Biography:
Andrea Jackson, is now a reporter and anchor with the Fox O&O station in Orlando, WOFL. The former host of the "The Daily Buzz" is also the creator of wakeupcall.tv a video newscast app for the iPhone & iPad under the banner of her own production company Stable 8 Inc. One of Jackson's biggest highlights as host and managing editor of "The Daily Buzz" (2002-20013)... pulling 9.2G's with the USAF Thunderbirds in the Lockheed Martin F-16! Jackson was freelance morning reporter and weekend anchor for the NBC affiliate WESH in Orlando, FL covering the Casey Anthony trial. She joined the WESH team as a part-time breaking news reporter for WESH 2 News "Sunrise" in January of 2011. Andrea is also the creator and executive producer of Stable8 TV (www.stable8.com) an internet TV channel and website devoted to equestrian television programming. This venture has given Jackson the opportunity to flex her talents behind the camera showcasing her unique sense of storytelling. Jackson got her start working in radio. She was a chopper reporter for San Diego's ABC affiliate KGTV where she was nominated for an Emmy for breaking news coverage of the La Mesa bus-hijacking. She also covered the Heaven's Gate tragedy and the North County Fires from the station's helicopter “Sky Ten.” She then became the weekday morning weather anchor for KGTV. Just before moving to L.A., she added the entertainment beat to her resume at the ABC station covering press junkets and the red carpet pre-show for the Academy Awards from 1996-1999. Prior to joining "The Daily Buzz" on its debut in 2002, Andrea was living in Los Angeles where she was covering weather and traffic for KNBC. Her other TV credits include NBC's hidden camera show "Spy TV” and co-starring roles on the NBC soap "Passions," CBS's "JAG", USA's "Pensacola", and "Arrest & Trial." Andrea has studied with acting coach Howard Fine in his Master Class, Big Roy Jenkins at "The Groundlings," and Broadway director Courtney Burr. Andrea graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Film and Political Science. She’s an active member of SAG, AFTRA, the Broadcast Film Critic's Association and the US Equestrian Federation. In her spare time Andrea loves to review movies and compete in equestrian show jumping events.
