Tom Brown

Biography:
Tom Brown is Vice President of Original Productions for Turner Classic Movies. He oversees all long form documentary programming and original series for the network. Among the projects he Executive Produced on TCM in 2005 were the documentaries The Adventures of Errol Flynn, Steve McQueen: The Essence of Cool , I'm King Kong: The Exploits of Merian C. Cooper and Cary Grant: A Class Apart, which received an Emmy nomination as Outstanding Non-Fiction Special. Before joining TCM, Brown worked as a producer and reporter for TNT's Rough Cut, where he interviewed Hollywood stars including Meg Ryan, Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. Brown also worked as an entertainment reporter for KDNL-TV (ABC) in St. Louis, Missouri, where his responsibilities included movie reviews, feature stories and celebrity interviews. Also while in St. Louis, he worked for two years as co-host of the morning drive show on WVRV-FM and contributed reports to KPNT-FM and KSHE-FM. He also worked for FOX affiliate KMSS in Shreveport, Louisiana as an entertainment reporter and creative services director. Brown has won several Addy and Telly Awards and received an Emmy nomination for his interview with Paul McCartney. He graduated from the University of Mississippi.
